Just wanted to give a shout out to Stan Ruggiero of CrazyBulkBodybuilding for following this humble blog…Stan’s accomplished some amazing things in a life of bodybuilding, and his writing, and the writing of others that he posts on his blog are invaluable for a guy like me who started off in the sport purchasing Arnold Schwarzenegger’s training booklets for $3.99 from the ads in the back of Muscle and Fitness in 1978. It’s been a long road, but an entirely enjoyable one – I wouldn’t be the man I am today (yeah, yeah, it’s arguable that not many folks like “the man I am today”, but “I yam what I yam, and that’s all what I yam”) had I not followed it.
Stan’s blog often gives me ideas for adjusting my training routine (which is nothing like the 20-25 sets per body part I used to do in my youth, but is also still not as finely tuned as it could be given the enormous advances in the science of building and maintaining a large, muscular, and lean physique that have been developed since I eagerly awaited those little Arnold booklets in 1978). That in itself is worth a shout out – But I’m proud and humbled to know that he’s reading what I write here…That in itself is encouraging.
We all learn from one another…And here’s a secret: If you’re going to learn something, learn it from an expert. Stan qualifies.
